Guitar Review – 1968 KUSTOM K200 hollowbody electric – 8:07 minutes

In this module David reviews a 1968 Kustom K200 Hollowbody electric guitar. These Kustom guitars were hand carved in the USA and the quality is awesome. They only this model K200 for one or two years. Lots of cool vibe on this guitar with interesting fret markers, cool finishes, and a chrome nut. This guitar is played through a 1960s silver sparkle tuck and roll Kustom solid state amp. Very cool – check it out!

Guitar Review – vintage 1959 GOYA electric guitar – 7:18 minutes

In this module David reviews a 1959 Goya electric guitar that was made in Sweden. This guitar is super cool – it has a mahogany hollow body that was wrapped in a plastic cover – very interesting. The most interesting thing about this guitar is it has the entire neck and headstock covered in a pearloid mother of toilet seat wrap. Very cool guitar. The guitar is played through a vintage Ampeg Reverberocket tube amp – check it out.  

Guitar Review – 1980 G&L F100 one of the first new ones by LEO FENDER – 8:54 minutes

In this module David reviews a G&L F100 electric guitar. After Leo Fender sold his original company to CBS, he started G&L guitars with George Fullerton. G&L have been making guitars since 1980 in Fullerton California. The F100 was one of the first models made when Leo Fender started up the G&L company. These models are heavy and solid! The humbucking pickups can be split into single colis – very cool to have the tonal options. David plays this guitar through a Line 6 Spider I 50 watt solid state amp with a 1×12 speaker configuration. Check out the sounds. Rock on!

Guitar Review – 1983 Gibson SG Special – 7:38 minutes

In this module David reviews a 1983 Gibson SG special. The Gibson SG is a great guitar to consider if you like the Gibson feel and tone but want a lighter guitar than a Gibson Les Paul. Many big name players use the Gibson SG including Tony Iommi of Black Sabbath and Angnus Young of AC/DC – plus many more. In this module David reviews a mid 1960s Epiphone Olympic made in the USA electric guitar. Epiphone makes some really cool guitars and this one was a one pickup model that was a very well made guitar. The body is made from mahogany and it has a set neck and cool batwing headstock. Guitar review 1979 IBANEZ ICEMAN electric guitar – super cool! 6:59 minutes

In this module David reviews a 1979 Ibanez Iceman guitar. These guitars are quite awesome and a lot of fun. This one has a more rare finish and has the set neck. The older icemans like this one with the set necks are more rare and are becoming very collectible. Many huge players have used these guitars – Steve Miller was one of the first to make the guitar famous as he is shown playing one on the cover of his album Fly Like An Eagle, Paul Stanley of KISS, Daron M from System of a Down, and many more. These guitars rock!

Guitar Review – TEISCO KL-2 vintage electric guitar 6:50 min

In this module we review an early 1960s Teisco KL2 electric guitar. The guitar is played through a 1970s Fender Deluxe Reverb Amp. The Tokoyo Electric Instrument and Sound Company or TEISCO, made affordable instruments and musical equipment from 1948-1969. Many of their products are becoming more and more collectible. Many of their guitars were distributed through SEARS and other sources here in the USA and many big name guitarists past and present have utilized their guitars and electronics. Players like James Iha from the Smashing Pumpkins, Ry Cooder, and David Lindly, among many others. Very cool guitars – check them out!
