In this lesson Jeffrey Paul Ross teaches some fun electric blues licks and rhythms in the Freddie King style. This style is very Early 1960s Texas blues. Jeff teaches this lesson in the key of E. Jeff first takes the intro lick and breaks down the doublestops on the A and G strings. This is a common pattern that you hear often in this style. Jeff also intertwines some Robert Johnson style turnarounds into this style. Give it a try and remember to put your own spin on these lick and rhythm ideas. Take these and make them your own! Jeff also goes over the B7 chord and what notes to incorporate over that chord. Try to add the thumping quarter bass notes once you get the basis of the lesson down – and have fun with it!
