Easy and Fun blues rock rhythm and licks with Willie – 5:05 min
In this lesson Willie teaches some fun and easy blues rock rhythms and licks. Basically the rhythm bounces around an F# chord. For the licks Willie pulls notes from the F# minor pentatonic scale. Will teaches some cool licks using slides, vibrato, hammer-ons, and sick string bending. Take the elements you like best from this lesson and run with them. Get creative with them and try them over the jam tracks in the jam track section of the site. Work up the licks slow and get them up to speed over time. Remember that slow and clean is far superior than fast and sloppy – keep on rocking!

This is a fun bluesy progression and once you get the pattern and changes David teaches you how to decorate and embellish the chords with devices and rhythmic patterns. In this lesson Jeff Ross teaches a New Orleans style blues tramp groove. This is a fun rhythm that incorporates licks in between the chords and also has a cool ending. Jeff goes over all the chords and licks. This is also know as a tramp groove – its in the style of Lowell Folsom and Freddie King. Jeff is playing in the key of G and has a tremolo effect set on his Viero amp to give it some snap. Jeff will be teaching in and around the G7 chord for this lesson.
