This is a really fun lesson that will open the door for you to see that you dont need much too make some killer sounds. Sometimes less is more. So much music in so many genres all goes back to the blues for their influences. Take the riffs slow at first and then expand on them and put your own touches on them. The rhythm is just a series of easy power chords. Lay this rhythm down and loop it and have fun coming up with your own licks based off these examples – enjoy!
EMBELLISH that 12 BAR BLUES with a new sound – pinky stretch – 10:17 min
In this lesson David teaches a new embellishment for a I-IV-V 12 bar blues. Here you will learn how to stretch out that pinky finger and use it to embellish the rhythm giving an added dynamic. David goes over the technique in full and if you cant reach the embellished note then just slide down the neck until you can. Then practice and stretch and whne ready start moving back up the neck to continue to stretch and strengthen that pinky finger.
