Fun doublestop rhythms and adding a way pedal for color – 7:42 min
In this lesson Dave Nassie teaches some fun rhythms using doublestops and a way pedal. This lesson is in the key of A minor and Dave starts off teaching a simple riff in A minor and shows various classic ways of playing these rhythms using doublestops and vibrato. Dave then gets inspired by some other artists and examines how he may interpret it. So Dave brings in a way pedal and he quickly works that pedal back and forth to create a nice almost root vibe type of effect. Dave then starts to vary the riff and bring in other notes and also incorporates some licks in to the riff using string bending. Notice how Dave uses the way pedal to effect the notes and enhance them. The way pedal can be a very fun effect to add all these color and textures to your playing.
