In this lesson Larry Mitchell teaches some fun funky lead and rhythm parts. He is in the key of G and starts the lesson by showing you the chords utilized and the rhythm he is playing. Notice the chords used are just with three strings. Often in funk guitar you play partial chords so not to get in the way sonically of the other instruments. Larry shows you a bunch of different ways to play the rhythm. Experiment with these and put your own spin on them. Larry then gets into some lead guitar using G minor pentatonic with some octave fuzz effects for fun. Try to lay down the funky rhythm and try some of the lead examples over the rhythm.
