In this lesson you will learn a major 7th arpeggio and then practice it in a musical example in a jam track. This is a really sweet sounding arpeggio that is made from a 1,3,5,7 – it adds the major 7th note to the major arpeggio – which is 1,3,5. So this maj7 arpeggio has a bit more sweet sounding than the major and it sounds great over major 7th chords and at times major chords. Practice over backing tracks and in all keys – remember find this arpeggio by the root off the 5th string with the pinky. rock on!

In this module David continues his teachings on applying arpeggios. He teaches you different ways to phrase arpeggios into your playing and how to commingle them together with your riffs, scales, modes, and licks. He will teach you descending arpeggio and scalar hammer and pull off licks, and trill licks. You will also learn how to use one string as a connection to move around the fretboard and connect your scales, modes, and arpeggios together. In this module you will also learn how to play an arpeggio over each chord in a four chord progression – this is what we call treating each chord as a separate event – and playing over each chord independently. David continues with the teaching methodology of looking at the entire neck as one big extended and connected scale and not as individual boxes. This is part two of a two-part lesson.
