In this lesson Dave Nassie teaches some advanced hybrid picking techniques in the style of Ritchie Kotzen. Dave teaches these techniques utilizing the E minor pentatonic scale and he first goes over the scale shapes he utilizes throughout the lesson. Dave then gets into the hybrid picking using his middle finger on his pick hand to play some of the notes in addition to using the pick. When Dave says “pluck” you want to use the middle finger on your pick hand to grab the string and pluck it to sound the note.
