Lesson 163 Learn to get Ukulele Hawaiian pop sounds on guitar using a CAPO – 7:39 min
In this lesson Ben Zinn teaches how to get some ukulele Hawaiian pop sounds and melody on an electric guitar using a CAPO. Ben teaches the chord shapes and progression and some lead fills to do over the chords. All chords are taught as if they are in standard tuning. The chords in this fun progressions are G major, Bm7, Em, and C. Its just a four chord repeating pattern. Ben then teaches some palm muting and how to get the Hawaiian sounding rhythms. The strum pattern is broken down and separated out to get a certain feel between the high and low registers of the guitar. Then Ben teaches some fun lead licks to play over this chord progression – have fun and get creative with these ideas and techniques.
